Can you have medications, such as aspirin, in your workplace First Aid Kit? The simple answer is no. Here is a passage from the National Work Safety Code of Practice …

Medication, including analgesics such as paracetamol and aspirin, should not be included in first aid kits because of their potential to cause adverse health effects in some people including asthmatics, pregnant women and people with medical conditions. The supply of these medications may also be controlled by drugs and poisons laws. Workers requiring prescribed and over-the-counter medications should carry their own medication for their personal use as necessary. – CODE OF PRACTICE | FIRST AID IN THE WORKPLACE pg 22

Having the faith to be positive is like saying having the flour to make bread. One can’t exist without the other. And yet one is attributed to new age and one to biblical truth.

Being positive on its own implies; to being in total control. Having faith relies on spiritual intervention.

The secret here is; One word limits us to our own imagination while the other frees us from carrying the burden on our own.

Faith is Believing: It’s a verb, a doing word.

Living our lives by faith is believing that God has a plan for us.

In Ephesians 2 it says God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. (Eph 2:8) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Eph 2:10)

Success in business is mainly reliant on the achievements we notch up along a winding road to our goals. It’s like running a race with many winning posts along the way. We go from contract to contract, from sale to sale, from tender to tender, from deal to deal.

Hitting a big break is just the preface to hitting another, it reminds me of a bubbling brook rolling over stones, because achieving your goals in business means not being stagnate at any time.

Just writing these last two sentences congers feelings of running a race, the pace of achieving all these goals is already making me tired and the worry of how I am going to stay ahead of things has released the stress demons in my body. Is it real? Imagine how it feels to suck a lemon, can you feel the juices in your mouth and the sensation in your whole body.

So carrying it all on my own means I’m having to pay the price. It reminds me of Paul’s words to the Corinthians “For you were bought with a price.”1 It also reminds me of Pauls words to the Philippians ”Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”2

For me giving thanks is the key to achieving my goals without the stress. The price has been paid by Christ. Does this seem simplistic and naive? Well if this is the key to success who am I to dispute it. I believe!

Do It Key Means Act Or Take Action NowSometime last year I was listening to an interview with Barbara Corcoran, an American Real Estate Mogul giving advice on how to succeed in business.  In the conversation she told of NIKE’s slogan “Just Do It” relating this to business in as Words without action, or Planning without implementation, will not build your business.

These words were not first spoken by Nike at least in part not spoken by Nike and probably in history never before used as a Slogan. But the sentiment and meaning dates back to King David as he hands his empire to his son Solomon. In Chronicles 28 v20

“And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.”   King James Bible

Through my life I have faced many adversities and of course 2008 was no exception, Never more, did I have to place my trust in God than in that year and those ahead of me. This verse, gives me strength. I believe God is saying to me as I move forward in my life and in my business,

“My Daughter, Be strong and of good courage and Do It, fear not, nor be dismayed or worried or troubled, for I the Lord God, yes, I the God of King David, will be with you, I will not fail you, nor will I forsake you, until you have fulfilled the work you were born to accomplish and become the person you are destined to be.”

Business is tough at any time, we all face our challenges, let these words encourage and inspire you and know you are not alone.

damage-dry-land-texture-021514-tm-1338Last night Chanelle and I held hands and together with the Holy Ghost we prayed sincerely to Almighty God for our long suffering Aussie farmer as they face the difficulty of this latest and very long drought. In 1 Kings 18:41-45 Elijah prayed for rain and God answered his prayers. Can you too offer a bold prayer  for our farmers, state your case to God on behalf of our long suffering brothers and sisters in the Aussie bush, and believe  that God will break the drought and pour down sustaining rain that will rejuvenate the bush and feed the livestock and bring hope of a new beginning to our farmers. Our heart goes out to our Aussie farmers who are the back bone of this magnificent country, who endure isolation and devastation on a daily bases. But I am believing there is a new beginning on the horizon. A New breakthrough that will see the out pouring of God’s gracious hand over their lives and the restoration of what was lost. I am believing for a double portion of God’s favour that will be greeted with tears of gratitude and joy. Will you too stand and believe with me.We can all do something to assist our rural neighbours. There are many organisations out there that we can support Aussie helpers being a particular example of at great one. You can go to to make a donation.
